Abolghasem Foladvand Deprived of Proper Medical Treatment

HRANA News Agency – Abolghasem Foladvand, political prisoner in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj, has been deprived of appropriate medical treatment due to objection by Khodabakhshi, supervisor Judge on political and security prisoners’ issues.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Abolghasem (Javad) Foladvand has been suffering from hernia and cyst in his moth for a long time but he is still deprived of appropriate medical treatment.
Finally, after months, two operations have been planned for him in Medical Centers out of the prison. Also, prison clinic and hospital’s Doctor agreed with that and the whole process and paper works have been done.
One of his close relatives told HRANA’s reporter: “Now, several months after Hospital doctor’s agreement, approval procedures and official agreement of prison to send him to hospital, only Khodabakhshi, supervisor Judge in security and political prisoners’ issues, disagree to send him to hospital.”
Foladvand, 51, has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment on charge of “membership in MEK” and 2 years imprisonment on charge of “Insulting the supreme leader” and on charge of participating in protests in 2009 and accusation of “Disturbing public order” he has been sentenced to one year imprisonment and 74 lashes.
He was in prison for one year and six months in 1980s on the same charge in Jamshidieh and Ghezelhesar prisons.
