HRANA News Agency – Prominent Iranian human rights lawyer, Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, was transferred to Ward 350 of Evin Prison in order to begin serving his 9 year prison sentence.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad Ali Dadkhah was sentenced to nine years in prison, ten years’ ban on legal practice, flogging, and cash fines by Branch 15 of Tehran Revolutionary Court in July 2011.

Twenty One Baha’i Citizens Arrested in Esfahan
HRANA News Agency – On Thursday, September 29, 2011, twenty one Baha’i citizens were arrested in Esfahan and taken to an unknown location. Amongst the detainees, there was a 9 year old child.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on Thursday, Iranian security agents arrested the following Baha’i citizens in Esfahan:

- Farzad Rohani

- Laleh Namjoian
- Lava Daneshgar
- Parisa Rahmani
- Roheia Hakimon
- Saha Behnam
- Samira Ghaneh
- Shahla Sanaei
- Sohela Davardan
- Sohela Vahedian
- Taj Almalok Janamian
On Saturday, October 1, 2011, Dina Safarpour, Shahla Sanaei, Fardoas Niki, Saha Behnam, Sohela Davardan, Samira Ghaneh, Sohela Vahedian and Taj Almalok Janamian were released.Thirteen other detainees still remain in custody while their whereabouts are unknown.
After these Baha’i citizens were arrested, the houses of Parisa Rahmani, Farzad Rohani and Ataullah Daneshgar were searched and Baha’i religious artifacts were confiscated.

Another Kurdish Citizen Arrested in Paveh

HRANA News Agency – Following a wave of arrests in a small border town called Navsod [Kermanshah Province], on Saturday, May 14, 2011, another Kurdish citizen was detained by Iran’s Intelligence Agency in the city of Paveh. Prior to this arrest, many Kurdish citizens from the city of Navsod were detained since they began protesting the killing of a young man in Navsod’s Moalam Square. The young man who was the only child in his family has been identified as Pourmand Modahetnia. He was killed on March 22, 2011.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Heshmat Rezai, Kurdish citizen from Navsod, was summoned last week by the Revolutionary Court in Paveh to face charges of disturbing the peace and public order. On Saturday, May 14, 2011, Heshmat Rezai was detained by the intelligence agents and transferred to Kermanshah’s Diesel Abad prison.
It has been reported that the court in Paveh has summoned tens of citizens who protested against the killing of Pourmand Modahetnia. When a military convoy was also dispatched to Navsod to arrest those summoned by the court, clashes occurred between people and the police.

HRANA – Colonel Dolati, the replacement Police Chief for the State of Kermanshah, announced that a man identified only by his initials, “M. N.”, has been arrested in Kermanshah on charges of “attempt to engage in armed operations.”

The Iranian Security Forces embarked on a nationwide mission against human rights defenders and, in particular, members of HRA, in February of 2010 and their mission continues in full force to date.
