At Least 3 Arab Civilians Arrested in Ahvaz
HRANA News Agency – At least three Arab citizens from Ahvaz namely; Naji Dahimi, Adnan Abyat, and Lafteh Ghavabesh (Jalali), were arrested by the Revolutionary Guards and Ministry of Intelligence and there is no information available regarding their fate and whereabouts.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Naji Dahimi, 34, married and father of two children, was arrested by the Headquarters of the Hazrat Abulfazl Alabbas Security Forces, on February 28, 2017, and was transferred to an unknown location. An Arab Asylum Seeker Sentenced to Jail after Returning to Iran
HRANA News Agency – Zia Savari, 24, resident of Ahvaz, has been sentenced to 6 years in prison after returning from Netherlands. This sentence was confirmed in the appeal court.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Zia Savari, 24, resident of Kooy-e-Alaviyeh area in Ahvaz city, who had returned from Netherlands in March 2016, was arrested on Thursday, April 14, 2015 by the intelligence forces of IRGC. Abdulkarim Shah Bakhsh; 8 Years of Torture and Harassment in Prisons
HRANA News Agency – Abdulkarim Shah Bakhsh, 55, Baluch Sunni political prisoner, after eight years of imprisonment in exile in the Central Prison of Ardabil, is held without leave and medical treatment for the diseases such as; “asthma, swelling and scarring of the lungs” with coughing up blood. In his referring to the prison clinic, he was told that he had to pay “6 million IRR” for his medicines as they had to get them from outside the prison, while in the past eight years Mr. Shah Bakhsh had no income because of the imprisonment, and his family is in poverty caused by being “orphaned”.

4 Turkish Activists Sentenced to a Total of 45 Years in Prison
HRANA News Agency – The General and Revolutionary Court of Baharestan town, in Tehran, convicted four Turkish activists to a total of 45 years imprisonment and exile. Although the convictions have been made based on charges of organizing illegal groups, but the court documents indicate that they had no violent activities and they have been active mostly in the field of cultural and linguistic issues.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), based on a verdict issued by the General and Revolutionary Court of Baharestan town, in Tehran, Mr. Akbar Azad, journalist and researcher has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and 2 years exile in Dareh Shahr of Ilam province, Mr. Alireza Farshi has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment and 2 years exile in Bagh-e Malek of Khozestan province, Mr. Behnam Sheikhi has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and 2 years exile in Masjed Soleiman of Khozestan, and Hamid Manafi has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and 2 years exile in Azna city of Lorestan province. Torture, Harassment and Humiliation, the Story of Noor Ahmad Hassan Zehi
HRANA News Agency – Noor Ahmad Hassan Zehi, Baloch political prisoner, is serving a sentence of 28 years imprisonment in exile, in the prison of Ardebil. This prisoner has numerous experiences of physical and psychological tortures being done to him, and in part of his narrative, he says: “One of the physical tortures was that, they tied me to the bed, which they call it a miracle bed, in a way that
they laid me down on the bed and handcuffed my hands and feet, tied together, with ropes and tied my thumb separately with tightrope to avoid any movement, and then with a thick cable brutally hit on the soles of the feet.”

A 17-Year-Old Activist Arrested in Ahvaz
HRANA News Agency – Ali Kab Aamir, 17, from Kian Abad in Ahvaz was arrested by the Ahvaz intelligence office at his house. The hand of the teenager broke while being arrested as a result of his resistance and protest of his family. It is said that his mother was shocked and is hospitalized due to her critical condition.
According to the report of Human Rights Activist News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ali Kab Aamir’s relatives told that during the home inspection, the family’s computer and several mobile phones were seized by intelligence ministry of Ahvaz and he was taken to an unknown location.
