A Pedestrian Shot Dead by the Police

HRANA News Agency – The police’s effort to stop a motorcycle resulted in the death of a pedestrian. Two other citizens were injured.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), following the police’s pursue of a motorcycle with two passengers, police forces started shooting at them. An Arab Activist Arrested in Ahvaz

HRANA News Agency – The Intelligence Office in Ahvaz arrested an Arab citizen of Ahvaz for unknown reasons and transferred him to their detention centre.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Amir Zargani, 23, from Zargan area in the north of Ahvaz city, was arrested in his workplace by the Intelligence Agents and was taken to an unknown location, at 11am, on February 6, 2017. No Information about Mahmoud Mazraeh Since His Arrest

HRANA News Agency – Mahmoud Mazraeh, citizen of Ahvaz, has been detained by the intelligence office in this city, since late October, but has not had a phone call or a visit with his family.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mahmoud Mazraeh, born in 1973, single and industrial electrical technician, a former employee of Steel Industries who lives in Kampelo area in Ahvaz, was arrested by the Ahwaz Intelligence Bureau, outside his house and was taken to an unknown location. Mehdi Kokhian Restarted His Hunger Strike by Sewing His Lips

HRANA News Agency – Mehdi Kokhian activist from Malakan, has gone on hunger strike by sewing his lips again in Maragheh prison, to protest against breach in promises made by the authorities. This political prisoner has symbolically sewed his ears as well to “avoid hearing the officials’ insults”.

Mohammad Saber Malek Raisi Transferred to the Hospital

HRANA News Agency – On January 29, 2017, Mohammad Saber Malek Raisi, Baloch political prisoner who is serving his 15 years in prison sentence in exile in Ardebil prison, was transferred to a specialized hospital for tests and was returned to prison after the examinations. He recently ended his hunger strike and was interrogated because of writing letters to the UN Special Rapporteur.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), doctors of Fatemi Hospital in Ardebil examined Mohammad Saber Malek Raisi because of hemorrhoid disease and have prescribed medication for one month. Sajjad Afrozian Released on the Bail

HRANA News Agency – Sajjad Afrozian was released on the bail from the prison of Maragheh, until the trial. It is also reported that a bail of 3 billion IRR has been set for Mehdi Kokhian, other civil activist detained in this prison.

Mehdi Kookhian and Sajad Afroozian Ended Hunger Strike in Maragheh Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mehdi Kookhian and Sajad Afroozian were transferred from intelligence corps of the revolutionary guard’s detention centre to Maragheh prison. Mr. Afrouzian and Mr. Kookhian were on hunger strike previously but they have ended their hunger strike on an unknown date in this detention centre.
