Seven Prisoners Hanged Across Iran/ Three of Them Publicly

HRANA News Agency– Seven prisoners with different charges were hanged by Iranian regime in different cities.

According to the reports by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA),Two prisoners convicted of Enmity against God: Alireza Mafiha and Mohammad Ali Sorouri were hanged publicly in Tehran.

A prisoner, Hamed Peyvaste, was hanged publicly on charge of murdering in Urmia.

Eight prisoners sentenced to death in Kerman

HRANA News Agency– Judicial department in Kerman sentenced eight people to death in accusation of smuggling industrial drugs.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), quoted from Khorasan, head of 2nd branch of Kerman revolutionary court said “This group which their main work was distribution of psychotropic drugs such as Shisheh, they brought the drugs from Tehran and were doing chain distribution in Kerman.”

Man Executed in Public in Ahvaz

HRANA – At 12:00 noon on Sunday, May 23, 2010, a man was executed in public in the city of Ahvaz.

Based on information received by HRANA, the Islamic Republic’s judiciary announced the man’s crime as “smuggling narcotics.” He had been sentenced to execution by the Revolutionary Court of Ahvaz.

This is the second person hanged in public in the city of Ahvaz for allegedly “smuggling narcotics,” over the past few days. The government seems to have little concern for that fact that carrying out executions in public is one of the most effective ways for normalizing and perpetuating violence.

 

 

 

Iran: six prisoners hanged in one day

HRANA News Agency – six prisoners hanged in different cities of Iran on Wednesday.

According to the reports by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), following the verdict by Shahroud revolutionary court, Wednesday morning two prisoners have been hanged on charge of smuggling drugs.

The prisoners names were M.SH the son of Habibollah from Minoudasht and M.F the son of Gholam and the verdict took place in the yard of central prison of Semnan.

At the same day, Wednesday 16th of January, two more prisoners have been hanged on charge of rape; One of the prisoners has been hanged in the central prison of Mashhad and the other took place in the Sabzevar stadium.

According to the photos of the Sabzevar stadium, people watched the scene from the seats of the stadium in a unparalleled action which is going to be a norm in Iran and there is no objection from the international federation of football until now about it.

Also, The same day, two men who were accused of murder in different  cases, have been hanged in Rajaie Shahr prison.

First prisoner was a young guy who was accused to death on charge of murder an old woman by knife hits during a housebreaking on October 2008.

The second one was accused to death on charge of murder of an iron businessman on October 2007. After he arrested he confessed that “I had financial disputes with the slain and then I arranged an appointment with him, in one moment I lost my control and I killed him by knife hit.”

HRANA News Agency – Thursday morning, January 17th, three prisoners will be hanged in Pakdasht in public.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), it supposed to hanging 3 prisoners in Pakdasht in public on Thursday morning, January 17th.

Abdolhamid Rigi Was Executed

HRANA – The Judiciary of the State of Sistan and Baluchestan announced the execution of Abdolhamid Rigi this morning.

Ebrahim Hamidi, the head of the State’s judiciary, said: “According to the sentence issued by the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Zahedan, Abdolhamid Rigi, brother of Abdolmalek Rigi, the leader of Jandollah, was hanged in Zahedan.”

Ebrahim Hamidi added: “Abdolhamid Rigi had been sentenced to execution on charges of “moharebeh” (waging war against God) and “corruption on earth” through membership, support and effective participation in the armed branch of Jandollah.”

According to Fars, the sentence issued for Abdolhamid Rigi was carried out this morning, Monday, May 24, 2010, in Zahedan prison after being affirmed by the highest judicial authorities.

Abdolhamid Rigi was the second highest ranking officer in the group Jandollah and was active in the organization’s armed unit. He was arrested by security forces in Pakistan in June 2008.

The leader of Jandollah, Abdolmalek Rigi is also in prison and awaiting trial.

A Prisoner Hanged in Shahr-e Kord, Iran

HRANA News Agency – a prisoner convicted of rape was hanged in Shahr-e Kord Central Prison.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), quoted from IRIB News, local judiciary authority in Shahr-e Kord informed a prisoner convicted of raping a 21 male citizen was hanged on Sunday, January 13, 2013.

Ahmad Bahrami said: “the person who was hanged and his friends kidnapped a 21 years old boy and raped him while video tapped it by mobile.”

“Pardon and Forgiving Committee rejected the pardon requests for them two times. one of them was sentenced to death and others 100 lashes in public.” He added.

There have been hanged 6 prisoners convicted of rape since the first of this year (Persian calendar) in Chahar Mahal-o Bakhtiari Province.

Amnesty’s Urgent Action – IRAN: Gholamreza Khosravi is scheduled to be executed on 10 September

HRANA News Agency – Amnesty International; An Iranian man, Gholamreza Khosravi Savajani, is scheduled to be executed on 10 September, on the charge of “enmity against God” (moharebeh) for his alleged support of a banned Iranian opposition group, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI).

Death Sentences for Five Iranian Arabs Upheld by Supreme Court

HRANA News Agency – Death Sentences for five Iranian Arab civil and cultural activists in Ahwaz was confirmed by Judges: Farajollahi, Ghaem Maghami and Lotfi at Iran’s Branch 32 of Supreme Court.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), branch 32 of the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran has upheld the death sentences of five Ahwazi Arab men convicted of waging war on God, sowing corruption on earth, propaganda against the Islamic Republic, and acting against national security.
