HRANA News Agency- Hassan Javani, an elder and sick political prisoner in Bandar Abbas, went on hunger strike in protest at his living condition in prison since 10 days ago.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), ten days ago, this 57 year old political prisoner in Bandar Abbas prison who is suffering from heart problems, prostate and hemorrhoid, was transferred in Bandar Abbas Central prison from ward 12 to ward 2 which is populous and has a poor sanitary condition, and went on hunger strike. HRANA News Agency – Ali Moezzi, who had started his hunger strike in Karaj detention center, in protest at the events of black Thursday and attack of prison guards to prisoner of ward 350, in Evin prison, and correspondently was transferred to solitary confinement, is back to common ward.

HRANA News Agency – The prosecutor of Tehran has prohibited the prison visit for Heshmatollah Tabarzadi.

HRANA News Agency – 2 political prisoners of Rajai Shahr prison have been transferred to a hospital.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hassan Taffah, 85 years old, is suffering from blood cancer and arthritis in the neck was transferred to the hospital on Wednesday May 15, however he was sent back to the prison after 24 hours without getting proper medical treatment. HRANA News Agency – Seyed Davood Rahimi who was transferred to cell number 52 of ward 240 in Evin prison, due to his hunger strike, has been beaten by the guard and transferred to a hospital.

A political prisoner deprived of medical treatment
HRANA News Agency – The authorities of Uremia prison (Darya) have evaded from paying the medical treatment of Jahangir Badoozadeh and he is deprived of having medical treatment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Jahangir Badoozadeh the prisoner of central prison of Uremia (Darya), who has been sentenced to lifetime prison, was transferred to a hospital outside of the prison under protection, for his necessary medical treatment but the hospital set the cost of treatment one million Tomans.
The prison authorities refused to pay the cost to hospital and asked this prisoner to deposit the money to hospitals’ account and then they would send him to the hospital under protection.
An informed source said to HRANA’s reporter, “according to international law and also the organization of prisoners of Islamic Republic of Iran regulation, the prison have to provide healthy condition for inmates and is responsible for their medical treatment, and shall not take any money from the prisoners for their treatments. Unfortunately, all of the relatives of Jahangir Badoozadeh had passed away and he does not have anybody outside of the prison to pay for his surgery”.
Jahangir Badoozadeh has been in Uremia prison without furlough since 2004. First, he was sentenced to death, and then on court of appeal he was sentenced to lifetime prison.
