A Report About Azita Rafizadeh’s Status in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Azita Rafizadeh is an imprisoned Bahai citizen whose 6-year-old son has to live with another family due to the simultaneous arrest of her husband, Paiman Kooshkbaghi.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Azita Rafizadeh was born in 1980 in Shiraz. She finished the elementary and high school in Tonekabon, but like other young Bahais, she was deprived of going to university. For this reason she finished her bachelor degree in computer engineering in Bahai Institute of Higher Education (BIHE), which was designed and targeted young Bahais in order to enable them to continue their education. Hamza Darwish in a Critical Condition in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Hamza Darwish, young Sunni prisoner in Evin prison who suffers from mental illnesses, was severely beaten and insulted by a hospital staff and two soldiers in the hospital. The officials continued to ignore his complain and medical care. The family of the prisoner have been threatened by the intelligence officers on the condition of their son.

Foundation of Martyrs Doesn’t Recognize Baha’i Soldiers Who Died During the War

HRANA News Agency –Baha’i family of a soldier who died during the war at the front in Piranshahr had written a letter to the Foundation of Martyrs and called to recognize the soldier who defended the homeland as a “martyr” and create a precedent for him. The Head of Foundation of Martyrs in Miandoab in response to the soldier’s mother’s demand, had written that because “he was a member of Bahai sect” and based on the regulations, the possibility of filing does not exist for him or the same person or people, whether veterans or victims.

4 Sunni Detainees Transferred to Urmia Central Prison

HRANA News Agency – Four Sunni civilians from Bukan who had been arrested on October 6 and were held in a poor condition in the Revolutionary Guards’ Intelligence Detention in Urmia were transferred to the central prison of this city after 2 months. Reports indicate the mistreatment, beatings and even torture of detainees in the detention center of the Revolutionary Guards.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), security forces in a coordinated assault on the houses of a large number of citizens of Bukan and its suburbs, attempted to arrest many of the citizens on October 6. Foad Yousefi in a Critical Health Condition in Rajaei Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Foad Yousefi, Sunni prisoner of Rajaei Shahr, is on hunger strike in protest to denial of his furlough.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Foad Yousei, Sunni prisoner of Rajaei Shahr prison is on hunger strike since December 26th.

A close source to Mr. Yousefi, mentioned that this prisoner is being deprived of furlough and told HRANA’s reporter, “Foad is suffering from severe mental illness and has repeatedly attempted to injure himself. But his request for a furlough is being ignored. Despite having many correspondence about his illness, nothing has been done yet”.

This informed source continued, “Few months ago he was transferred to Amin Abad mental health centre, but he could not bear it and was again transferred to prison after two days. He is suffering from severe depression as well”.

This Sunni prisoner was arrested in 2010 and sentenced to 8 years in prison.

The Sentences of 3 Sunni Prisoners Reduced to 12 Years

HRANA News Agency – The appeal court reduced the sentences of three Sunni prisoner in Rajaei Shahr prison, to 12 years in prison. These prisoners who had previously been sentenced to death, were sentenced to 15 years in prison after the supreme court reject the sentence, and their retrial.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the sentence of 15 years in prison of three Sunni prisoners of Rajaei Shahr with the names of Taymoor Naderizadeh, Farshid Naseri and Farzad Shahnazari, who are being kept in hall number 21 in ward 7, were reduced to 12 years in prison in the appeal court. Concerns Rise about Putting New Pressure on Sunni Prisoners

HRANA News Agency – Sunni prisoners of Rajaei Shahr are being kept in very bad conditions. However, these conditions could become even worse if they would be transferred to their previous hall and new pressures could be imposed on them.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Sunni prisoners in hall number 21 of section 7 in Rajaei Shahr prison of Karaj, are being kept in very bad conditions. However, there are concerns that they would be transferred to hall number 10 of ward number 4, which is the place that the executed prisoners were being kept, and consequently they would face new level of pressure by security authorities. Foad Rezazade Ended His Hunger Strike after 23 Days

HRANA News Agency – On December 13, Foad Rezazade Sunni prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison ended his hunger strike on its 23rd day after reaching his demands.
