Activists join families outside prison in protest at executions

HRANA News Agency – The families of four Sunni prisoners on the verge of execution were joined yesterday by a number of Iranian political activists outside Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), political activists Narges Mohammadi, Mohammad Malaki, Fariborz Rais Dana, Alireza Jabbari and Mohammad Nourizad visited the families outside the prison yesterday. Adel Fana’ayan freed unexpectedly

HRANA News Agency – Adel Fana’ayan, a Bahai from Semnan, has been freed on parole.

Families gather outside prison in protest at imminent executions, Iran

HRANA News Agency – The families of four Sunni prisoners in danger of imminent execution in Iran have gathered outside Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj in protest at their death sentences.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the families, despite opposition from Iranian security forces, have refused to leave the prison until the death sentences are revoked, and until the prisoners are returned to Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj. Four death row prisoners transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison

HRANA News Agency – The four prisoners, who had been transferred to solitary confinement in Rajai Shahr Prison yesterday in order for their executions to be carried out, were transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison last night.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the families of the men were informed by a prison official that the men were due to be executed at 4 am this morning, but that the execution was not carried out. No news about fate of ten Sunni activists arrested in April

HRANA News Agency – There has been no news about the condition of ten Sunni men who are being held at an unknown location since their arrest earlier this year in the cities of Bukan and Mahabad, West Azerbaijan province of Iran.

Security Forces conduct raid on Sunni prisoners

HRANA News Agency – More than 70 members of the Security Forces raided Section 4, Ward 10 of Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj on Saturday, disrespecting the prisoners’ religious books and removing some of their property.

3 Bahai citizens arrested in Mashhad

HRANA News Agency – On June 2, agents from the Ministry of Intelligence raided a Bahai religious meeting in Mashhad, stopped the meeting, and searched the house where it was being held.
