Forensic agreed to transfer Hamid Babaei to a hospital outside prison

HRANA News Agency – After 6 months, the forensic in Evin prison agreed to send Hamid Babaei to medical centers for treatment outside the prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hamid Babaei is a Finance PhD student at the University Of Liege, Belgium, who was arrested in August last year after returning to Iran, and was imprisoned and sentenced to ten years (6 years prison and 4 years suspended imprisonment) and is held in Evin prison since then. Raham Barakchizadeh arrested to serve his sentence

HRANA News Agency – Raham Barakchizadeh, a third year student of Physics at Shahid Beheshti University is arrested and transferred to ward 8 of Evin Prison. He was previously arrested on Ashora-2009 and has been sentenced to 7.5 years imprisonment at Islamic Revolutionary Court.

Students of Allameh Tabatabai University protested at acid attacks

Soroush Sabet released from Prison

HRANA News Agency – Soroush Sabet – A Leftist student – was released from Evin Prison after serving his sentence.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Soroush was transferred to Ward 350 in Evin Prison on 2nd September 2012 to serve his 2 year sentence.  He received this suspended sentence with regards to his attendance at Leftist student protests back in 2007.

His sentence was approved by Judge Zargarnejad of the 16th Branch of Islamic Revolutionary Appeal Court in Tehran.

Soroush Sabet won the Bronze Medal at Computer Olympia and held the second place in Mathematics at Kharazmi Olympia both back in 2002. He also won the first place at Master’s level National University Entrance Examination in 2009.

This Leftist activist student was charged with “acts against the national security: protest and collude with intent to disturb the peace and national security” and was sentenced to two year imprisonment.

Masoumeh Gholizadeh released on the bail

HRANA News Agency – Masoumeh Gholizadeh, has been released on the bail.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Masoumeh Gholizadeh, the former student activist of Tehran Allame Tabatabai University had been arrested on May 21st in Tehran and was then transferred to the Central Prison of Tabriz.

She has been released on the bail of 100 million Thomans on June 19th.

Masoumeh Gholizadeh had been in Turkey for further education and was arrested after returning to Iran.
