Reza Boukani Summoned and Charged at the Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – On 30 December 2014, Reza Boukani, former Political Prisoner was summoned and charged by Islamic Revolutionary Court. He was kept in custody for 5 hours and then was released on 70 Million Tomans bail.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), during the last week, Reza Boukani a former Political Prisoner was summoned by Branch 3 of Islamic Revolutionary Court via a phone call. After attending the court on 30 December, he was charged with “propaganda against the regime through connection with foreign media and attending illegal gatherings”.

A close relative of Reza Boukani told HRANA reporter: “the court has based all of these allegations on Reza Boukani’s attendance at the gathering on 7 December 2014”.

He has been temporarily released on a 70 Million Toman bail until his trial day.
