Atena Daemi Protests Against Summoning Her Family

HRANA News Agency – Atena Daemi, human rights activist and prisoner of women’s ward of Evin prison, carried a dry hunger strike in protest to what she believes to be the fabrication and profiling a case against her family to put more pressure on her, in warden’s office, and demanded a visit with prosecutor of ward 2-A and judiciary, after she was informed that her family were summoned to the court. As a result, she who wanted to communicate her protest, visited the head of prison, but he instead of following up, asked her to get back her compliant against the revolutionary guards with a threatening tone.

A close source to Atena Daemi told to HRANA’s reporter, “After Atena was informed that her family were summoned, she wrote a letter and demanded to visit the representative of the prosecutor of ward 2-A and judiciary. Atena Daemi’s Family Members Tried in Evin Court

HRANA News Agency – The trial of three members of Atena Daemi’s family was held in Shahid Moghadas Court in Evin Prison. Two sisters and one of the brothers in law of this family attended the hearing. According to the interrogator, the brother in law was acquitted and Atena’s two sisters were released on the bail after being charged.

Commemoration of the International Day of Human Rights in the Women’s Ward of Evin

HRANA News Agency – Female prisoners in the women’s ward of Evin prison, held a ceremony on the occasion of “December 10, Human Rights Day”.

Atena Daemi’s Family Summoned to Evin Court

HRANA News Agency – On December 27, as a part of the new case against Atena Daemi, imprisoned human rights activist in Evin prison, three members of her family, including her two sisters and her sister’s husband, were summoned to Shahid Moghadas Court in Evin Prison. In the warrant “the report of enforcement against you” was mentioned as the reason of being summoned.

Atena Daemi Charged in a New Case

HRANA News Agency – Atena Daemi, imprisoned human rights activist was charged at Shahid Moghadas court in Evin prison on December 19 because of being sued by IRGC officers.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on December 19, Atena Daemi was charged with insulting the Supreme Leader, publishing lies, insulting the authorities, preventing the implementation of warrants and beating the duty officer in the fourth branch of the Shahid Moghdas court in Evin prison. The Campaign of ‘Rights of Prisoners’ Launched by a Letter of Atena Daemi

HRANA News Agency – Recently a campaign with the hashtag #right-of-prisoner with the aim of calling the head of prisons to respect the rights of inmates such as access to health care, has been launched based on the international law. The campaign has been organized on the basis of Atena Daemi’s letter before going to jail, by United for Iran.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Atena Daemi, jailed human rights activist wrote in a letter: “Today some of the bravest and most committed citizens are imprisoned because of their political, civil and human rights activities and authorities are refusing the provision of health care to prisoners by clearly violating domestic and international laws. Omid Alishenas Arrested to Serve His Sentence

HRANA News Agency – Omid Alishenas, civil activist, was arrested by the Sarallah Guards’ agents and was transferred to Evin prison to serve his 7 years imprisonment sentence.

Atena Daemi Arrested Violently and Transferred to Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency –Atena Daemi, civil rights activist, was arrested violently, in order to serve her prison sentence, and transferred to Evin prison.

The Verdict of Appeal Court of 4 Civil Rights Activists

HRANA News Agency – According to the issued verdict in branch number 36 of the appeal court of Tehran province, by judge Ghomizadeh for 4 civil rights activist, Atena (Fatimah) Daemi, Omid Alishenas, Aso Rostami and Ali Noori, their sentences have been reduced from respectively 14, 10, 7, and 7 to 7, 7, 2 and 2 years.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the appeal court of 4 civil rights activists, Atena (Fatima) Daeimi, Omid Alishenas, Aso Rostami, Ali Noori and Mohammad Hossain Daemi (Atena’s father) was held in branch number 36 of Tehran on August 3, and the verdict was submitted to their lawyers on September 28.
