Untold Stories of Nasirabad – Edris Balidehei’s Wife’s Letter to the Commander of Police Forces

HRANA News Agency – In a raid of revolutionary guards and security forces which took place on Sunday January 4, to Nasir Abad village, located in southern part of Baluchistan province, at least 30 people including Edris Balidehei were arrested.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) and Baluch civil rights activists campaign, the security forces has attributed 90% of all terror and bombing activities in recent years to these arrestees, but their families reject these allegations.

All of the requests of these families for a visit, phone call and assigning lawyers have been declined.

In this regard, one of detainee’s wife has responded to accusations and described the arrest of her husband, by sending a letter to head of police bureau of Baluchistan.

The letter is as follows:

Head of Baluchistan police bureau, Mr. Rahimi,

Hello,

My name is Somayeh Bahramzehi, Edris Balidehei’s wife, who has been arrested along with his brother Bashir Balidehei and 30 others, in a brutal raid of your forces to our village on Sunday January 4.

Your subordinate forces rushed to our house, while we were sleeping, broke the door and windows and with shouting, insult and humiliation, handcuffed my husband and without any questioning or explanation took him to an unknown location. Since that day, my two children are in trauma and every night say “officers are coming”.

When we asked officers, “what do you want from him?” or “do you have any warrant to enter our house”, they responded, “shut up, it would be few questions, that is it”. Now, there is no news from them. No call, no visit and whenever we went for visit, we have been told, “come back next month; we do not let you see them.”

My husband and his brother were two orphans who had lost their father 17 years ago and their mother suffered from thousands of miseries for upbringing them. The situation of other arrestees is not better.

My husband was a farmer and he is responsible for providing requirements of life for three families including eight members. His old mother is receiving help from Komiteye Emdad. As he could not support these families by farming, he changed his job and started working with his aunt in shop. It was almost second week of his new job, that he was arrested with allegation of being a terrorist. Now he has been accused that he had been trained for three years in Pakistan and Afghanistan for bomb attacks. These accusations are absolute lies and my husband was not away from his family, even for a month.

Oath to God, we are the three families sleeping in a clay-maid room and sometimes spend a night with a piece of bread. How is it possible that these allegations, that you as the head of police attributing to us could be true?

Two years ago, you have announced that Molavi Naghshbandi and his followers are responsible for the terror of Molavi Jangi Zehi. Now that is demonstrated that some of corrupted security officers tried to profile a case for him, you have arrested these 18 Nasir Abadi’s group. You claimed that these people have taken the responsibility of the Terror of Molavi Jangi Zehi, few teachers and a member of Basij forces. Just like the time that you claimed that Molavi Naghshbandi and his followers have confessed, but later on, it was revealed that they have confessed under physical and psychological tortures.

How do you claim these people are professional assassinators while you could not find any weapon from them, no one resisted and no one knew about the reason of his arrest?

How it is possible that a person, that you claimed is a gang, assassinates his friends in his village. How could you rationalize this?

We, the habitants of Nasirabad, are very sorry about the terror of a member of Basij and a teacher, and peace seeker and poor people of Nasir Abad are not involved in terrorist activities.

If you try to make excuses, we will not believe you, because we are aware of the pressure that your forces are imposing.

Major Karimi, we are requesting you to behave in fairness and justice, and look for real criminals and release innocents. If you do not hear our screams, we will take our complaint to God.
