HRANA News Agency – At least two prisoners were executed in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, and a number of other prisoners were returned to the cell from the gallows.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), at dawn on Wednesday 11th May, at least two prisoners were hanged in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj.
The prisoners were charged with murder and the identity of one of them was authenticated by HRANA as; “Reza Chashmnoor”.
It should be mentioned that 3 to 10 prisoners on death row in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj were transferred to solitary confinements on 7th May and HRANA had announced the identity of three of them as; “Mohamed Abdi, Seyed Jafar Jafari Panah, and Friborz Ja’li”.
According to the received reports the inmates whose sentences were not conducted for various reasons including getting consent from the next of kin were returned to the general ward.
It should be noted that by the time of this report no official notification has been made by the authorities and institutions regarding these executions.
