Roin Otofat Released from Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – On June 8, Roin Otofat, political prisoners in Evin Prison, whose case is going through a judicial review process was released on the bail.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Roin Otofat, national-religious political prisoner was released from Evin Prison.
Mr. Otofat was arrested during a cultural meeting in his own home, by the Ministry of Intelligence, and was transferred to Evin prison, on February 15, 2013. After five months he was released on the bail from Evin prison, on July 10, 2013.
The national-religious activist was summoned and tried by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court, presided by Judge Salvati, and was charged with “establishing an illegal and counter-security organization, known as “Shuraye Ranginkaman (Rainbow Council) in collaboration with illegal group of the national-religious” and, also “propaganda against the regime through issuing and signing counter-security statements”, on June 29, 2014.
The court ruled an 11 years imprisonment and two years deprivation of activities through political parties and groups as well as activities in cyberspace, media and press, for Roein Otofat, which was changed to 10 years imprisonment by Branch 54 of the Appeals Court, but all the deprivations remained as above.
