Sholeh Pakravan Summoned to the Intelligence Ministry

HRANA News Agency – On November 14, 2016, Sholeh Pakravan, mother of Reyhaneh Jabbari, the prisoner who had been executed, was arrested following commemoration of the anniversary of the execution of her daughter and summoned to the Intelligence Ministry.

Golrokh Irai Visited Her Mother for the First Time Since Her Arrest

HRANA News Agency – On October 24, Golrokh Irai, civil activist, was arrested violently by Revolutionary Guards of Sarollah without any warrant, to serve her 6 years of imprisonment and was transferred to Evin prison “blindfolded and handcuffed”. Ms. Irai who has health problems and even could not appear and defend herself at the hearing due to a surgery, had requested several times to meet her husband, Arash Sadeghi while he has gone on hunger strike since her arrest, but the authorities have not allowed them to meet each other yet.

Golrokh Irai Arrested and Transferred to Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Golrokh Irai, Arash Sadeghi’s wife was arrested by security forces. They broke the house door and transferred her to Evin prison in order to serve her sentence.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Golrokh Irai was arrested by security forces, after they broke the door of the house, and transferred to Evin prison in order to serve her 6 years of imprisonment, even though she had not received a notification. Arrested Participants of Reyhaneh Jabbari’s Memorial Released

HRANA News Agency – All of the people who had been arrested by security forces during the memorial of Reyhaneh Jabbari, in Behsht-e-Zahra, were released. Previously HRANA had reported that security forces had used violence and broken many of the provided equipment for the ceremony, dismantled the platform and gathered the chairs and told the guests to leave.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), plainclothes forces with the support of security police intervened and stopped the anniversary of Reyhaneh Jabbari’s execution to be held on her tomb, and arrested Sholeh Pakravan, Mohammad Nourizad and some of the attendees. Manijeh Fatehi Released on the Bail after 7 Months of Detention

HRANA News Agency – Manijeh Fatehi, 22, student from Bokan, who had been held in detention of Intelligence Office in the cities of Bokan, Mahabad, and Urmia, since February, was released temporarily till her court hearing, on a bail of 1500 million IRR, from Mahabad Intelligence Detention.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Manijeh Fatehi, daughter of Bahman, a 22-year-old student from Bokan after more than seven months in solitary confinement in detention centers of Intelligence service in Bukan, Mahabad and Urmia, was released on a bail of 1500 million IRR on October 17, 2016. HRANA News Agency – Sholeh Pakravan, Mohammad Noorizad and several other participants in the anniversary of execution of Reyhaneh Jabbari were arrested by the security forces and the ceremony was stopped.

Qarchak Women’s Prison: Iran’s Largest Women’s Prison

HRANA News Agency – Shahr-e Rey Prison which is known as “Qarchak Women’s Prison” and “women’s Kahrizak”, is located on the Tehran-Varamin Highway before Qarchak city. The conditions of this prison are unbearable for prisoners, conditions that include the Qarchak women prison conditions are unbearable for the prisoners, conditions that include the “outbreak of dangerous diseases”. These conditions are caused by the geographical location, small space, and high population, shortage of water and sanitation facilities, violence and lack of segregation of prisoners.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Qarchak Women’s Prison is made of 7 warehouse buildings that is holding approximately 2000 women and some children; this number varies in different seasons.
