According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Sayed Mohammad Ebrahimi, civil rights activist was released from Rajai Shahr prison on May 28, 2016, due to lung disease and spinal problems.
Sayed Mohammad Ebrahimi, member of the “Committee of Mourning Mothers of Laleh Park”, after four years and two months imprisonment, had taken medical leave in 2014 to keep track of fracture repair and treatment of lung problems (shortness of breath) and his bleeding kidney.
The prisoners was arrested and transferred to ward 8 of Evin prison to serve the rest of his sentence while he was on medical leave. Later he was transferred to Rajai Shahr prison.
He has been charged of “propaganda against the system” through “contact with Ahmed Shaheed and families of political prisoners” in a new case while he was in custody. This case is pending at Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court headed by judge Moghiseh.
Mr. EBrahimi had been arrested by intelligence officers on charges including insulting the Supreme Leader on December 13, 2010.
