Two Prisoners have been Hanged in Mashhad

HRANA News Agency – On Wednesday April 17, 2013 two prisoner hav been hanged on charge of raping in Mashhad.

One prisoner has been hanged in Kerman

HRANA News Agency – One prisoner has been hanged in the Zarand prison of Kerman charged with drug trafficking.

According to a news by IRIB, assistant prosecutor of the branch of the revolutionary court of Zarand said: this 40 years old prisoner was arrested on the charge of trafficking 1 kg and 875 gr. of industrial drugs including Heroin about one year and a half ago and was in the Zarand prison since then.

Nikruz laso said: his sentence was confirmed and done this morning.

9 people were hanged in Shiraz charged with enmity against the God

HRANA News Agency – 9 citizens have been hanged in Shiraz charged with enmity against God this morning.

A prisoner is hanged in Bandar Abbas prison

HRANA News Agency – One prisoner has been hanged on March 10, 2013 in the Bandar Abbas prison.

According to a report by the “Human rights and democracy activists of Iran” website, Omid Shojai the 30 years old prisoner, married, having 2 children, who was waiting for death in the solitary, was hanged in the yard of the Bandar Abbas prison in the morning of the 10th of the March. He was in the section 8 of the Bandar Abbas prison for 4 years.

According to this report there are more than 100 prisoners waiting for the execution in the Bandar Abbas prison.

Denmark ends support on anti- narcotics program in Iran

HRANA News Agency – A Danish newspaper declared that the Danish government decided to stop their aids on Iranian anti-narcotics program in protest to death penalty in Iran.

 

According to Iran Human Rights website, Denmark is one of the western countries giving aid to Iran in anti-narcotics program. The aids have been done through United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime -UNODC.

Three Kurds are in danger of Imminent execution

HRANA News Agency – Execution verdict of three Kurds confirmed and enforcement verdicts’ section of Oroumiyeh prison received the verdicts which increased worries about their imminent execution.

Ibrahim Isapour, Semko Nezhavi and Saman Nasim are the three Kurds in Oroumiyeh prison who sentenced to death and after the confirmation by supreme court they’re in danger of imminent execution.

HRW- Iran: Stop Execution of Ahwazi Arab Political Prisoners

HRANA News Agency – Human Rights Watch (London) – Iran’s judiciary should quash death sentences against five members of Iran’s Ahwazi Arab minority and immediately cancel their execution, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch said today. The sentences were handed down by a revolutionary court and upheld by the country’s Supreme Court on January 9, 2013.

The five men – Mohammad Ali Amouri, Sayed Jaber Alboshoka and his brother Sayed Mokhtar Alboshoka, Hashem Sha’bani Amouri, and Hadi Rashidi (or Rashedi) – are all activists in Iran’s Arab-majority Khuzestan province, in southwest Iran. A branch of the Revolutionary Court sentenced them to death on terrorism-related charges following an unfair trial in July 2012. On January 18, authorities informed families gathered outside Karoun Prison in the south-western city of Ahvaz that the five men had been transferred out of the prison. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Iran: 12 prisoners Hanged | 70 Executions from the First of 2013

HRANA News Agency – 12 prisoners hanged within last two days, one of them publicly.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 12 prisoners were hanged in Kermanshah, Shiraz and Arak within last two days. One of them was executed in Arak publicly.

Eight prisoners convicted of drug trafficking were hanged in Adel Abad Prison of Shiraz on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

Three prisoners convicted of drug trafficking were hanged in Kermanshah on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.

One prisoner convicted of rape was hanged publicly in Arak on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.

According to the HRA’s statistic department, there have been executed 70 prisoners in Iran from the first of 2013.
