According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ali Asghar Mahmoudian, political prisoner, has been considered to be given a penalty charge of four to six months to compensate for the time taken for his medical leave. Esmail Barzegari Released From Evin Prison
HRANA News Agency – Esmail Barzegari, political prisoner at the ward 7 of Evin prison was released.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Esmail Barzegari was released from ward 7 of Evin prison, on last Wednesday, after completing his sentence.
He was acquitted of espionage charges in the Court of Appeal and his sentence was reduced from 7 years imprisonment to two and a half years and considering more than four years imprisonment that he had already served, he was released.
Esmail Barzegari, dentist and musician, was arrested in Tabriz in May 2011 and was transferred to ward 209 of Evin Prison and after being held for seven months in solitary confinement he was transferred to ward 350, in January 2012, and subsequently he was transferred to ward 7 of Evin prison.
