HRANA News Agency – Ayat Mehr Ali Beyglu ended his hunger strike, after authorities in central prison of Tabriz agreed with his transfer request to his home town’s prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ayat Mehr Ali Beyglu, the Azeri political prisoner, who had started his hunger strike in protest at persecution of political prisoners and their families by rejections of their transfer requests to their home town’s prison, on Tuesday April 15, ended his hunger strike after 37 days, on May 21. An Azeri political activist released on heavy bail

HRANA News Agency – Akbar Azad, the Azeri activist who was arrested on International Mother Tongue’s Day, has been released on bail.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Akbar Azad, the Azeri political activist, who was arrested on charge of having speech on Internanioal Mother Tongue’s Day in Tehran last March and was transferred to Evin prison has been released on 150 million Tomans bail, on Saturday, May 17. Imprisoned Azeri activist in critical health condition

HRANA News Agency – Hamid Manafi, the Azerbaijaniani political activist was transferred to the clinic of Evin prison clinic because of his physical deterioration for the second time since his arrest.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Manafi was transferred to solitary confinement from general ward because of going on hunger strike since May 12. Later on, three days after he started Dry Hunger Strike, he was transferred to prison’s clinic as his physical condition was critical. According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), this Azeri activist who was arrested along with six others and was transferred to Evin prison on charge of participating in International Mother Language’s Day was in hunger strike since April 22, till his release. No information about Namegh Mahmoodi’s whereabouts

HRANA News Agency – There is no information regarding whereabouts of Namegh Mahmoodi, the Kurdish political prisoner.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Namegh Mahmoodi, the 63 years old Kurdish political prisoner, has been taken from his cell in ward number 12 of Rajai Shahr prison to an unknown location, on October 12, 2013, and there is no information about the place he is being kept yet. HRANA News Agency – Behnam Shaikhi, the Azeri activist, is on hunger strike since April 22nd.

2 Iranian Arab citizens sentenced to imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Two Arab political activists have been sentenced to 6 years in prison, in branch number 3 of the revolutionary court of Ahwaz, by chief judge Barani.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Siyahi (son of Ghanem and 29 years old) and inhabitant of Hamidiyeh town and Emad Manabi (son of Sobhan and 37 years old), married and have one children, both went to trial, in branch three of the revolutionary court of Ahwaz, on charge of acting against national security.
