Mohammad Abdollahi and 5 other Prisoners Scheduled to be Executed Tomorrow

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Abdollahi, political prisoner in Uremia Prison and at least 5 other prisoners have been transferred to solitary confinements to be executed. Mohammad Abdollahi had been on hunger strike for 32 days in protest at the “unjust” verdict and the way of handling his case since May 29, 2016 and accepted to end his strike after the authorities had promised him to agree with his retrial.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad Abdollahi has been transferred to the solitary confinement along with 5 other prisoners who were charged with drug-related allegations in order to be executed. HRANA News Agency – At least 20 prisoners were executed last week in Rajaei Shahr prison. Among them Shahram Ahmadi was the most known in the media. Due to lack of information about these executions by official authorities, HRANA is releasing the images of some documents, including supreme court’s sentence and defendant’s defense against the charges, in order to help clarify this case for public.

4 Executed Sunni Prisoners Explain Their Cases / Video Footage

HRANA News Agency – At least 20 Sunni prisoners were executed by hanging in Rajaei Shahr prison, all of whom were charged with membership or cooperation with Tohid and Jihad group. These prisoners were arrested about 8 years ago. Jahangir Dehghani, Jamshid Dehghani, Kamal Moulayi and Hamed Ahmadi were four prisoners that had a chance to publish what their case was made of and what they were accused of. HRANA had published this video in 2013, but due to importance of clarification about the process of these cases, we publish this video again.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on August 4, the Intelligence Ministry published a statement about the case that is famous as Tohid and Jihad and by giving some explanations accused them to have ties with terrorist activities. HRANA News Agency – Lack of transparency of Iranian judiciary has caused a confusion about the fate of death row Sunni prisoners who had been taken to solitary confinements on Monday. In the newest remarks, the Attorney General has declared the number of executed prisoners to be 20. Such a high number of executions is in itself rare.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after 36 death row Sunni prisoners were taken unexpectedly to solitary confinements of Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, the families of at least 21 of them were summoned to the prison for the last visit. However none of them managed to show up in the prison because of long distances and abnormal rush in carrying out the executions. HRANA News Agency – Dozens of Sunni prisoners were executed in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj. The families confirmed that they had seen the corpses of these prisoners in Kahrizak forensics.

A Former Police Officer Executed in Mashhad

HRANA News Agency – Reza Sabzevari, 32, former policeman from Neyshabur was executed in Mashhad prison on July 27. His family was informed to attend the last meeting in Mashhad prison one day before. Mr. Sabzevari was married and had two children, 10 and 2 years and a half.

HRANA News Agency – On July 13, 6 prisoners were executed on charge of murder in Rajai Shahr prison. The prisoners along with five other prisoners had been transferred to solitary confinements of the prison on July 10. 5 of the prisoners were transferred to their wards and their sentences were not carried out by the consent of the plaintiffs. The Number of Executions in Rajai Shahr Prisoner Rises to Six

HRANA News Agency – The number of executed prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison increased to six. On July 18, 10 prisoners were transferred to solitary confinements in the prison to be executed, four of them with the consent or deadlines returned to their wards. Six prisoners have been executed.
