HRANA News Agency – The court hearing of Abbas Lisani, Turk (Azeri) activist from Ardabil and former political prisoner, was held in Branch one of the Revolutionary Court in Meshgin Shahr after changing the location of public and revolutionary courts. Mr. Lisani gave his defense in Turkish, which was accepted, unlike the previous sessions.

Prisoners Face Different Problems in Central Prison of Sanandaj
HRANA News Agency – Prisoners of Central Prison of Sanandaj face numerous problems which have doubled their suffering. The severity of these problems in some cases also led to prisoners’ hunger strike.

Morteza Moradpour Arrested by IRGC Forces
HRANA News Agency – Morteza Moradpour, political prisoner, who had been released recently from prison, after 65 days of hunger strike was arrested by the Revolutionary Guards’ Intelligence agents from A’shoura headquarters of East Azerbaijan province in Tabriz, and was taken to an unknown location.

Ahmad Reza Jalali Transferred to Ward 240 of Evin Prison
RANA News Agency – Ahmad Reza Jalali, a researcher and medical doctor and a former resident of Sweden who has been held in detention on security charges, since May 2016, was recently transferred from ward 209 to ward 240 of Evin Prison after announcing a hunger strike. The family of this Iranian-Swedish citizen has no information about him and is concerned about his fate.

Department of Natural Resources Sues Baha’is Over Their Land
HRANA News Agency – A series of hearings regarding “Rowshan Kooh’s Baha’i residents’ lands” were held in Mazendaran province, based on complaints which had been made by the Department of Natural Resources, in the General Court in Kiasar within the first two weeks of February. Baha’i citizens, who were sued by the Department of Natural Resources, do not have access to adequate documents to defend their case.

Nana Badrian Released on the Bail, Andrea Vartanyan Still under Detention
HRANA News Agency – Within the past few days, Nana Badrian was released from women’s ward of Evin prison. On the other hand, her husband, Andrea Vartanyan was transferred to ward 4 in Evin prison. The Christian couple from Tajikistan had been detained over a month ago by the intelligence ministry.
