HRANA News Agency – The neck arthritis and lumbar disc disease of Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, a labor activist and political prisoner, cannot be cured inside the prison and he is not even allowed to have access to a doctor and medication.

Mohammad Amin Abdullahi On Hunger Strike In Birjand Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Amin Abdullahi, political prisoner in Birjand prison, who is in his tenth year of imprisonment has gone on hunger strike to protest against being transferred to this prison since 15 days ago and it is said that he was 7 days on dry hunger strike.

HRANA News Agency – Esmail Barzegari, political prisoner at the ward 7 of Evin prison was released.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Esmail Barzegari was released from ward 7 of Evin prison, on last Wednesday, after completing his sentence.
He was acquitted of espionage charges in the Court of Appeal and his sentence was reduced from 7 years imprisonment to two and a half years and considering more than four years imprisonment that he had already served, he was released.
Esmail Barzegari, dentist and musician, was arrested in Tabriz in May 2011 and was transferred to ward 209 of Evin Prison and after being held for seven months in solitary confinement he was transferred to ward 350, in January 2012, and subsequently he was transferred to ward 7 of Evin prison.
