HRANA News Agency – A Sunni prisoner who was being deprived of adequate medical care in Tehran’s Evin prison was transferred to hospital yesterday after a deterioration in his condition.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Sunni prisoner of conscience Shahram Ahmadi, who is awaiting execution, was transferred to Modarres hospital in Tehran at 5:30pm local time after suffering from excessive kidney bleeding. HRANA News Agency – A Sunni prisoner of conscience who is awaiting execution in Tehran’s Evin prison is being denied access to adequate medical care, despite suffering from a potentially serious health condition.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Shahram Ahmadi, who has already lost his left kidney whilst imprisoned, has been suffering from an ongoing kidney infection for a number of months without adequate treatment. In recent days, he has reportedly been suffering from bleeding from his remaining kidney. Despite this, prison officials have continued to refuse to transfer him to a prison outside of the hospital to receive proper medical treatment.
