5 Civil Activists Sentenced To Imprisonment And Lashes In Ardabil

HRANA News Agency – The sentences of three months imprisonment and thirty lashes of 5 civil activists in Ardabil were confirmed by the appeal court. Tohid Amiramini, Saleh Pichganlo, Maisam Julani, Mostafa Parvinjoda and Morteza Parvinjoda were arrested during a football match and after picking up a placard demanding the freedom of a political prisoner.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), these activists picked up a placard on which they had written: “Abbas Lesani, Azerbaijani activist must be released” during a football match between “Shahrdari Ardebil” and “Aluminum Hormozgan”. A Civilian Arrested In Baneh

HRANA News Agency – Local sources have announced the detention of Shirzad Fallahi, Kurdish citizen, by The IRGC intelligence agents in Baneh.

A Political Prisoner’s Wife Summoned To The Court In Ardabil

HRANA News Agency – Roqiyeh Alizadeh, the wife of Abbas Lesani, imprisoned political and civil activist, was summoned in writing “to give some explanations” to the second branch of the Prosecutor General and Revolutionary Courts in Ardabil city.

Ramazan Ahmad Kamal On Hunger Strike Demanding Proper Medical Treatment

HRANA News Agency – Ramazan Ahmad Kamal, Syrian prisoner has announced his hunger strike in protest to the lack of medical treatment in Rajai Shahr prison of Karaj. According to the prisoners, the fingers of this prisoner’s right hand are disabled after an unfinished surgery and returning to prison without treatment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ramazan Ahmad Kamal was arrested in 2008 while he was escaping to the borders of Iraq and the Iranian border guards stopped him by shooting several bullets in his belly, left shoulder and thigh. Behnam Shaikhi Summoned To The Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – The revolutionary court of Baharestan (rural of Tehran), has summoned Behnam Shaikhi, civil rights activist. Mr. Shaikhi will be tried on charge of acts against the national security.

HRANA News Agency – Asadullah Asadi who was arrested again by the security forces in Tabriz, has been released shortly after his had been transferred to Tabriz prison.

Abbas Lesani’s Wife Summoned To The Court

HRANA News Agency – Roqayeh Alizadeh, the wife of Turkish (Azari) political prisoner in Shiraz prison, was summoned to the revolutionary court in Ardebil by calling. Ms. Alizadeh said that the court had probably summoned her because of the complaint of the intelligence, but she was not summoned in writing and formal, so she would not go to the court.

Asadullah Asadi Released on The Bail

HRANA News Agency – Asadullah Asadi, political activist, was released on the bail from Tabriz prison on January 31. Mr. Asadi was arrested when he had carried and displayed banners of protest around Tabriz bazaar to protest against what he expressed as “violation of his rights by the department of education”
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the Turkish (Azeri) political activist has been charged with “disobeying police’s orders”, “propaganda against the system”, “disturbing public order” and “slogans and writings against the authorities” and is scheduled to be tried next week. The Court Of Appeal Reduced The Sentences Of 2 Civil Activists To 2 Years

HRANA News Agency – The appeal court of East Azerbaijan province sentenced each of Taha Kermani and Hussein Ali Mohammadi to two years imprisonment with counting the days of previous detention by acquittal of charges of “blasphemy”.
