HRANA News Agency – The following is a report on the situation of 9 Gonabadi Dervish prisoners in Evin Prison in Tehran and Nezam prison in Shiraz, who have been sentenced to a total of 64 years imprisonment.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Gonabadi Dervish prisoners in Evin prison in Tehran and in Nezam prison in Shiraz have been sentenced to long term imprisonments while they have inappropriate condition and need special medical treatment and care. Rozita Vaseghi Freed after 5 Years Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Rozita Vaseghi, a Bahai from Mashhad was freed on the evening of January 21, after completing her five-year imprisonment with hard labour in Vakil-Abad prison, in Mashhad.

Sunni Imam Severely Beaten in Iran

HRANA News Agency – A Sunni Imam from Iran’s Kurdish minority was left unconscious in a field in Iran’s West Azerbaijan province after being interrogated and savagely beaten by plain-clothed officers on Monday 19 January 2015.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Hosseinzadeh, the Imam of the Khankandi village mosque in the city of Miandoab, was pursued by plain-clothed armed officers near the village of Dash Band on the Bukan-Miandoab road on Monday evening. HRANA News Agency – Behfar Khanjani, a Bahai prisoner of conscience serving a five-year sentence in Seman’s central prison, has been denied the right to receive family visits as a punishment for writing a letter to Dr. Jahangiri, the head of Iran’s Prison Association.

Bahai Home and Workplace Raided in Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – On January 19, agents from the Ministry of Intelligence raided the workplace and then the home of Mr. Hasan Salehi in Shiraz.

HRANA News Agency – Amir Rajabi, Sufi prisoner in the central prison of Zahedan, since several days ago has been transferred to solitary confinement, because he has refused to shave his mustache and has gone on hunger strike.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Amir Rajabi, a Sufi from Kermanshah, who has been detained for ordinary crimes and is held in central prison of Zahedan, has been transferred to quarantine of this prison since several days ago, because he has refused the prison authorities’ order to shave his mustache and has gone on hunger strike. HRANA News Agency – Iran’s Supreme Court has revoked the sentences for six Sunni prisoners, four of whom were awaiting execution, after admitting that there was ‘insufficient evidence’.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the Supreme Court admitted that there was insufficient evidence to uphold the convictions of the men, who had been charged with ‘Moharabeh [enmity against God] and acting against national security through involvement in the assassination of Mustafa Jang Zehi [a pro-regime cleric]‘.
