HRANA – A 9-year-old child who was shot in the head on Thursday when military forces opened fire in the Jahadabad area of Saravan County died yesterday, Sunday, September 27, at the hospital due to the severity of his injuries. The child’s father was also injured in the shooting.

According to HRANA, citing Haal Vsh, a child has died after military forces opened fire.

He has been identified as Mohammad Amin Dehghan, 9, a resident of Jahadabad, Saravan.

According to the report, in the early hours of Thursday, September 24, Mohammad Amin and his father, Eshaq Dehghan, were traveling in a Saipa pickup truck carrying drinking water in the Jahadabad area of Shushtari (“Dab”), Saravan County, when their vehicle came under fire from military forces. Mohammad Amin sustained a severe gunshot wound to the head, while his father was also injured. Both were subsequently transported in another vehicle to Razi Hospital in Saravan.

After several days of hospitalization and medical treatment, Mohammad Amin Dehghan died on Sunday, September 27, due to the severity of his head injuries and the deterioration of his condition.

According to the outlet, at the time of the shooting, clashes were taking place in Jahadabad and the surrounding areas between military forces and armed individuals. However, no independent evidence has been published to date indicating that the vehicle carrying Mohammad Amin Dehghan and his father was connected to those clashes.
