Reza Mostafaei Arrested and Transferred to Dehdasht Prison

HRANA – On October 3, Reza Mostafaei, a 26-year-old resident of Dehdasht with a disability, was arrested after appearing at Branch 6 of the Prosecutor’s Office of Kohgiluyeh County and transferred to Dehdasht Prison.

According to HRANA, Reza Mostafaei was arrested on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Based on information received by HRANA, Mr. Mostafaei had previously been summoned to Branch 6 of the Prosecutor’s Office of Kohgiluyeh County on a charge of “propaganda against the regime.” Yesterday, after appearing at the branch, he was arrested due to his inability to post bail set at eight billion tomans and was transferred to Dehdasht Prison.

An informed source close to his family confirmed the news to HRANA and said that the assistant prosecutor handling the case, Mr. Paydar, made demeaning remarks toward Mr. Mostafaei during the session in reference to his mobility disability and physical condition. According to the source, the assistant prosecutor also questioned him about writing slogans and his support for the families of those killed during the protests.

The source further stated that Reza Mostafaei suffers from spinal problems and a physical disability, and that his transfer to prison has heightened concerns among his family and those close to him regarding his health.

According to information received by HRANA, Mr. Mostafaei’s support for the families of those killed during the January 2026 protests has been cited among the matters used in his case.

Reza Mostafaei, aged approximately 25 and a native of Dehdasht, has previously been summoned and subjected to judicial measures in connection with his activities, including the confiscation of his mobile phone.
