HRANA – Yesterday, October 6, Yadollah Mataei, a resident of Dehgolan, was arrested by security forces in the city and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to HRANA, citing Kurdpa, Yadollah Mataei was arrested in Dehgolan, located in Kurdistan province.
According to the report, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, security forces arrested Mr. Mataei on a street in Dehgolan without presenting a judicial warrant.
As of the time of this report, no information has been obtained regarding the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, or his place of detention.
The report states that Mr. Mataei had previously been arrested during the nationwide protests of 2022 and was temporarily released several weeks later after posting bail. He was subsequently sentenced to a five-year suspended prison term. He was also summoned by a security agency in April/May 2024.
Yadollah Mataei, 45, is a karate instructor with 31 years of experience in sports. He has been active in karate as an athlete and instructor since 1995.
