HRANA News Agency – At dawn on Tuesday, May 13, the death sentence of a prisoner previously convicted of murder was carried out in Khorramabad Prison.

HRANA has identified the individual as Behrouz Baharvand.

According to information received by HRANA, the prisoner had been arrested on murder charges and later sentenced to death by the judiciary.

The individual hanged at dawn today has been identified by HRANA as Reza Miri.

According to information received by HRANA, Mr. Miri had been arrested on drug-related charges and was later sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court.

The prisoner has been identified as Ebrahim Joghatay, a resident of Sabzevar.

According to information obtained by HRANA, Mr. Joghatay had been arrested on drug-related charges and was sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court.

HRANA News Agency – With the identities of two more inmates confirmed, the number of individuals executed on Monday, May 12, in Arak Prison has risen to three.

In addition to the execution of Jalil Azizi, who had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges, the death sentences of two other inmates were also carried out. HRANA has confirmed their identities as Mohammad Abdi and Nemat Piri, both from Lorestan Province. Abdi and Piri had also been previously arrested and sentenced to death on drug-related charges.

As of the time of this report, prison authorities and relevant institutions have not publicly announced the executions.

Three Prisoners, Including a Woman, Executed in Gorgan Prison

HRANA News Agency – At dawn today, May 12, the death sentences of three prisoners, including one woman, who had previously been convicted of murder in separate cases, were carried out in Gorgan Prison.

Iran Human Rights has identified the identities of the executed prisoners as Mahboobeh Khosrow-Nejad (female); Firooz (Erfan) Aliyari, 28, from Gorgan; and Safa Qaradashi, 26, from Aq-Qala, located in Golestan Province.

According to the report, Mahboobeh Khosrow-Nejad was arrested five years ago on charges of murdering her cousin and was sentenced to death. Mr. Aliyari and Mr. Qaradashi were also arrested four years ago in separate murder cases and later sentenced to death by the criminal court.

Two Prisoners Executed in Zahedan Prison

HRANA News Agency – On Sunday, May 11, the death sentences of two prisoners previously convicted of murder in separate cases were carried out in Zahedan Prison.

According to Haal Vsh, the identities of the executed prisoners have been confirmed as Fereydoun Mohammadi, approximately 36 years old, a resident of a village in Fanuj County, and Mohammad-Ali Miri (Mir-Baluchzahi), 48 years old, a resident of Zabol.

According to the report, Fereydoun Mohammadi was arrested around seven years ago on charges of murder and was later sentenced to death by the judiciary. He had previously been transferred from Chabahar Prison to Zahedan Prison for the execution of his sentence.

Mohammad-Ali Miri was arrested in 2019 (1398 in the Iranian calendar) on charges of murder during a group altercation in Zabol and was also sentenced to death by the judiciary.

HRANA News Agency – On Wednesday, May 7, the death sentence of a prisoner previously convicted on drug-related charges was carried out in Lakan Prison in Rasht.

Hircani News Outlet has identified the hanged prisoner as Jafar Pour-Asadi, 45 years old, a father of five, and a resident of Ramhormoz.

According to the report, Mr. Pour-Asadi had been arrested two years ago on drug-related charges and was sentenced to death by a judicial authority.

HRANA News Agency – The death sentence of a prisoner previously convicted on drug-related charges was carried out on May 4 in Zanjan Prison.

The identity of the prisoner, who had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges, has been confirmed by HRANA as Hassan Mirzaei.

As of the time of this report, the execution has not been officially announced by prison authorities or responsible institutions.

According to HRANA’s report, in 2024, over 52 percent of executed prisoners had been convicted on drug-related charges. Over the past ten years, individuals convicted of drug trafficking have accounted for 40 percent of all executions.
