Judicial Cases Opened Against 40 Citizens in Shemiranat for Using Starlink Internet

HRANA – The commander of the Al-Ghadir Basij District in Shemiranat, Tehran province, announced that since March 21, 2026, 40 Starlink satellite internet devices have been discovered in the county, and judicial cases have been opened against their owners.

According to HRANA, citing IRNA, judicial cases have been opened against 40 citizens in Shemiranat for possessing Starlink satellite internet equipment.

The commander of the Al-Ghadir Basij Resistance District in Lavasan and Rudbar-e Qasran, Shemiranat, stated that since March 21, 2026, 40 Starlink satellite internet devices have been discovered in villas, recreational complexes, and eco-lodges located in Lavasan, Oushan, Fasham, and Meygun.

According to Hassan Pourqorban, judicial cases have been filed against the owners of the confiscated devices, and they have been referred to the judicial authorities.

Two Citizens Arrested in Tehran, Starlink Equipment Confiscated

HRANA – Tehran’s Police Commander announced the arrest of two citizens in the western and northern parts of the city on charges described as “sending information and collaborating with anti-state networks.” During the operation, their Starlink satellite internet equipment was also confiscated.

According to the police commander, the citizens’ communication channel with contacts outside the country was established through satellite internet and Starlink equipment, which was seized at the time of their arrest.

According to Rokna, the Information Center of Tehran’s Greater Police Command announced the arrest of one person. The statement claimed that the arrest followed reports of “suspicious movements” at the individual’s residence. Police stated that after conducting field investigations and identifying the suspect, officers arrested the individual during an operation.

According to police claims, a search of the citizen’s residence led to the seizure of several communication devices and a Starlink receiver. Authorities also alleged that during interrogations, the accused admitted to using the equipment for the “collection and transfer of information.”

HRANA – The head of the Cyber Police (FATA) in Qom Province announced the arrest of 10 citizens over what he described as the use of Starlink satellite internet.

According to Tasnim, the law enforcement official stated that the reason for the arrests was the use of Starlink satellite internet, adding that several Starlink devices were also seized from the accused.

He classified Starlink satellite internet equipment as “anti-security goods” and warned that authorities would take serious action against those in possession of such devices.

At least 37 Citizens Arrested Across Multiple Provinces

HRANA – At least one citizen in Tehran, five in West Azerbaijan, 28 in Sistan and Baluchestan, and three others in Semirom were arrested by security forces in connection with the war.

According to Tasnim, the Greater Tehran Police Information Center stated that the citizen was arrested for “operating under the cover of a trading company to illegally procure and use satellite equipment, including Starlink, and to establish communication with foreign countries.” A Starlink satellite device was also confiscated from him at the same time.

According to Mehr News Agency, the IRGC Intelligence Organization in West Azerbaijan announced that in the past 48 hours, five individuals had been identified and arrested on charges of links to the Mossad intelligence service and the Iran International network.

According to IRIB, the Ministry of Intelligence reported the arrest of 28 individuals along the borders of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, claiming that they were connected to “takfiri groups.” According to the ministry, some of those arrested had intended to carry out sabotage operations, and five others were also arrested on charges of sending information about certain locations to a media outlet affiliated with Israel. The ministry added that weapons, hand grenades, and several pieces of Starlink satellite internet equipment were discovered and confiscated during the operation.

According to Shahr News Agency, the police commander of Semirom announced the identification and arrest of three individuals by officers of the command’s intelligence organization. According to him, these individuals were arrested for communicating with anti-government networks and sending information and images of certain locations abroad.

Report on the Arrest of 113 Citizens in Tehran and Kashan

Six Citizens Arrested in Yazd for Using Starlink Equipment

HRANA – Domestic media have reported the arrest of six citizens in Yazd over what has been described as “using Starlink equipment and sending news to foreign media outlets.” Additionally, 61 bank accounts linked to these individuals have been frozen.

According to Mehr, Ahmad Negahban, the commander of the Law Enforcement Forces in Yazd Province, stated that these individuals were detained for “using Starlink equipment.”

He added that during inspections by law enforcement forces, six Starlink devices were discovered and confiscated from these citizens. Furthermore, 61 bank accounts belonging to them have been blocked.

According to Negahban, the arrested individuals were “sending news and information to foreign media and selling internet services.”

HRANA – The deputy commander of the Law Enforcement Forces in Fars Province announced that a citizen was arrested for setting up a network in several provinces across the country to sell unfiltered internet via Starlink. Meanwhile, IRGC Intelligence reported the arrest of several citizens in Fars Province for what it described as “sending images to a foreign-based media outlet.” The Lorestan Police Information Center also announced that seven citizens in the province were arrested on charges of espionage.

According to Mehr News Agency, a citizen was arrested in Shiraz. Regarding the case, the deputy commander of the Fars Provincial Police stated that the 37-year-old citizen was arrested for establishing a network across several provinces in order to sell unfiltered internet via Starlink. The individual’s Starlink device and related equipment were also discovered and confiscated.

In a separate development, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) News Agency published a statement from the IRGC Intelligence announcing that several citizens in Fars Province were arrested for “sending images to a foreign-based media outlet.”

The statement claimed that the individuals were collecting images on the social media platform Telegram under the title “Leon” and sending them to the Iran International network. It alleged that by broadcasting these images they intended to provoke public opinion and incite unrest in the streets. The organization also described the detainees as being connected to one of the groups opposed to the government.

According to Fars News Agency, the Lorestan Police Information Center reported the arrest of seven citizens in the province on charges of espionage. According to the statement, the individuals had taken photographs of certain locations.
