Prisoner Executed in Minab Prison for Drug Offenses

On Tuesday, July 30th, an inmate convicted of drug-related charges was executed in Minab Prison, Hormozgan province, according to Haal Vsh.

The identity of this prisoner has been reported as Nabi Bakhsh Mola-Zahi, approximately 61 years old, father of one child, and a resident of a village in Bampur city, Sistan and Baluchestan province.

According to the report, Mola-Zahi was arrested in 2019 on drug-related charges in Minab and was subsequently sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of this city.

No official sources or domestic media outlets within the country have provided coverage of these executions at the time of writing. Inmate Executed in Minab Prison for Murder

Today, July 29, the execution of a prisoner previously sentenced to death for murder was carried out in Minab Prison, Hormozgan province, acording to Haal Vsh.

The identity of this prisoner has been reported as “Mahim Jangi-Zahi, from Jask County.”

According to the report, Mr. Jangi-Zahi was arrested four years ago on charges of murder and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial authority.

No official sources or domestic media outlets within the country have provided coverage of these executions at the time of writing. Three Prisoners Executed in Parsilon Prison, Khorramabad

On Saturday, July 27th, the death sentences of three prisoners, previously convicted on drug-related charges, were carried out in Parsilon Prison, Khorramabad.

HRANA has identified one of the prisoners executed this morning as Azim Amraie.
They had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and then sentenced to death by the judiciary.

It is worth noting that on July 20, Parsilon Prison, Khorramabad also witnessed the execution of another prisoner named Saeed Sepehvand, who had been sentenced to death on similar charges.

Ast the time of thie wirting, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by prison officials or the relevant authorities.

Today, Thursday, July 25th, in addition to the execution of Kamran Sheikheh, a Sunni prisoner in Urmia Prison, the execution of another prisoner was carried out in this prison.

This prisoner has been identified by HRANA as Hassan Yousefi Azar. Mr. Yousofi Azar, a resident of Naqadeh, had previously been arrested on charges of murder and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary.

As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by prison officials and relevant authorities.

Two Prisoners Executed in Qazvin for Drug Offenses

At dawn on Thursday, July 25th, two prisoners, convicted of drug-related charges in a joint case, were executed in Choobindar Prison in Qazvin.

The identities of these prisoners have been reported by Iran Human Rights Organization as “Hamed Naderi, 32 years old, and Ali Moharram Khani, 37 years old, a father of two, residents of Abhar.”

According to a source, Naderi and Moharram Khani were both arrested about two years ago in a joint case on drug-related charges and were subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary.

No official sources or domestic media outlets within the country have provided coverage of these executions at the time of writing.

Inmate Executed in Parsilon Prison for Drug-Related Crimes

At dawn on Saturday, July 20, the execution of a prisoner previously sentenced to death on drug-related charges was carried out in Parsilon Prison, Khorramabad.

HRANA has identified the prisoner as Saeed Sepahvand.

Sepahvand, along with another prisoner named Azim Amraie, who had also been arrested and sentenced to death on drug-related charges, was transferred to solitary confinement in Parsilon Prison, Khorramabad, on Thursday, July 18, for the execution of their sentences. The execution of Amraie was postponed for three months, and he was returned to the general ward of the prison.

Pakhshan Azizi Sentenced to Death

Pakhshan Azizi, a political detainee held in Evin Prison, has been sentenced to death by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Iman Afshari.

Based on a verdict issued by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court and communicated to Ms. Azizi in Evin Prison on Tuesday, July 23rd, she was sentenced to death on  multiple charges including “membership in anti-regime groups.” The court session to address the charges against this political detainee was held on May 28th of this year in the mentioned branch.
Pakhshan Azizi, a resident of Mahabad, was arrested by security forces in Tehran on August 4, 2023, and transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison.

This political detainee was deprived of the right to access a private lawyer and meet with her family for a long time. Eventually, after four months of interrogation, she was transferred to the women’s ward of this prison.

Ms. Azizi was formally charged in February of 2023 at Evin Courthouse, and her indictment was referred to Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court.

Pakhshan Azizi had previously faced arrest and judicial confrontations. She was detained by security forces on November 16, 2009, and released on bail after four months.

Reports from the Department of Statistics and Publication of HRA in 2023 indicate a total of 193 cases in which Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Iman Afshari, has been involved in issuing verdicts that infringe upon the human rights of defendants.

Seven Prisoners Executed in Birjand Prison for Drug Offenses

Today, Tuesday, July 23rd, the death sentences of seven prisoners, including three women, who had previously been convicted in separate cases on drug-related charges, were carried out in Birjand Prison in South Khorasan province, according to Haal Vsh.

The identities of two of these prisoners have been reported as Amir Hamzeh Barahooie (Brahui) Mojarrad, married with two children, from Zabol and a resident of Fazl Abad in Golestan Province, and Vahid Vahdani, 33 years old, from Bojnord.

According to the report, these seven prisoners had previously been arrested in separate cases on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the judiciary.

These prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement on the night of Sunday, July 21st, in preparation for the execution.

The report, citing an informed source, stated: “Amir Hamzeh was arrested in 2019 and was later sentenced to death by the Birjand Revolutionary Court. After he appealed the verdict, it was overturned by the Supreme Court and referred to a another court branch, but he was ultimately sentenced to death again.”

A Prisoner Executed in Qom Prison for Murder

On Monday, July 22nd, a death-row prisoner convicted of murder charges was executed in Qom Prison, according to the Iranian Human Rights Organization.

The identity of this prisoner has been reported as Hassan Fallahi, 30 years old, from Meshkin Dasht, Alborz Porvince.

The report, citing an informed source, stated: “Mr. Fallahi was arrested three years ago for the murder of his brother-in-law due to personal disputes and was sentenced to death by the judiciary.”

As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by prison officials and relevant authorities.

Prisoner Executed in Dizelabad Prison, Kermanshah

On Sunday, July 21st, the execution of Danial Kazemi-Nejad, who had previously been sentenced to death for “killing a Basij militia force,” was carried out in Dizelabad Prison, Kermanshah, according to Kurdpa.

Based on this report, Danial Kazemi-Nejad, 30 years old, was arrested on July 9, 2023, for the alleged murder of a Basij officer named Sajad Amiri and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary.
The execution was reportedly carried out without prior notice or a final meeting with his family.
